Hi everyone,
we have an environment with 2 somewhat larger UPSs which protect various servers (incl. 1 cluster with 3 nodes, Azure Stack HCI). In the event of a power failure, we would like to shut down our VMs in a certain order. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to test the PCNS software properly and have not found any correct installations or configurations for Hyper-V or Azure Stack HCI.
Does anyone know anything about this or is PCNS even the right choice for the software?
We do not use SCVMM in our company.
Regards

Hello,
You can find all the instruction for installation and configuration in the below manual step by step for Hyper-V & SCVMM
PCNS is compatible with Azur stack HCI as per OS compatibility chart below
Configuring Virtual Machines to shut down when a Hyper-V host is commanded to shut down is explained in the below FAQ:
https://www.apc.com/nl/en/faqs/FA159689/
but PCNS license is required to be purchased to support the virtualization feature as per the below :
But you can use The unlicensed PowerChute Network Shutdown to protect a Hyper-V Host with the Hyper-V Manager as per the attachment

Karim

Hi Karim,
Unfortunately, I am already familiar with these articles and manuals. But I haven't really been able to find anything on how to install the software for the Azurestack HCI cluster and define the prioritization of the virtual machines there?
Are there any documents, training courses or services that could help me with PCNS and Azurestack HCI?

Hi Karim,
i do the e-learnings too. But there are zero information how to handle PNCS with Azurestack HCI.
In the documents you cannot find anything about the PowerChute Software with Azurestack HCI and how to handle it.
Maybe I am blind but there is no installation guide for PNCS for Azurestack HCI. There is only the chart that said that PCNS is working with Azurestack HCI but not how.
