PCNS: Change VCenter/Vsphere account/password when previous account is unknown?
Hi everyone,
I'm able to log into the web interface for PCNS, can get to the communication tab, and see the settings for communicating with VSphere. Our hosts are reporting that the password being used is incorrect, so I'd like to reset it and update it. Unfortunately, I don't have documentation on what the old password might have been, and the old password is required for the change. Is there any way to force this or to reset the current communications configuration to let me start from scratch?

Hi,
Open the PCNS web interface and select PowerChute Setup. You will be presented with menu options to reconfigure PCNS for VMware. One of the pages will require you to enter the vSphere information including the password. Enter the new password and complete the set up. Once completed the new password will be used.
