what model UPS is this specifically? the 3000 or 5000 RT? you want to make sure you are plugging in the USB to RJ-45 cable into the right spot. if the UPS has a network management card, you may have inadvertently plugged the RJ-45 end into the network jack and not the communication jack. the correct communication jack i believe says "serial" or "communication" or something like that.
i agree, its not an OS issue.
also, once we know you are using the right jack, we could try a terminal program, like PuTTy to see if the UPS gives us any information via that method, then we would know its a software issue and not a UPS problem.

SURTD units arent supported by powerchute business edition. they are supported by Powerchute Server (or a network management card alternatively - both cant be used at the same time either).
powerchute server should ship on a CD with the UPS. the SURTD5000 units ship with a network management card inside and can be used with powerchute network shutdown.

yah, sorry, you correct it's not PCBE, coz i try to install the powerchute server to the Server but after i finish the installation it's show that no communication with the UPS seems like Communication Lost, i unplug then plug again the Serial Cable ( USB - RJ45 ) then i also restart the server but still same issue.,, what do you think IPaW isn't OS issue because they are using Win 64bit? thank in advance

i need to know what model we are dealing with. also, if its an SURTD unit, it should only have a RJ45 to DB9 cable, NOT a RJ45 to USB cable.

some SURTD's come with the NMC in there, just wanted to make sure ๐
so you are able to read data in the very beginning? like wattage, runtime, etc before it stops working? is that how you know its successfully working?

ok, so the RJ45 end should be plugged into the RJ45 port labeled "Serial" i believe. make sure you didnt accidently plug it into a different port back there..can you confirm?

well i cant say i have seen this particular issue but a new version of powerchute server was released recently which helped out with some other issues. powerchute 1.0.1 i believe is the most recent.

i forget the version, have you experience this before? what do you think is the problem. Coz for me it so troublesome you know, compare to the previews one i think its more stable the SURT using the serial port DB-9
