hi all~
I'm currently configuring the PCNS to shutdown the OS after triggering the "UPS: On battery" event. I'm sure that my shutdown(only shutdown some application/service & written in bourne shell) scripts works properly since it works in shell prompt.
When the "UPS: On battery" event is triggered, the View Event log of the web interface shows the AIX is running on battery power. However the shutdown script doesn't run as I already configured in Run Command File.
Do anyone know what the problem is here????
P.S. : I tested for PCNS with the same configuration in Windows platform 2003 which can run self defined script and shutdown the OS properly but really didn't work on AIX(certainly using another script)~~
thankyou~~

can you clarify something for us (or me at least)..
am i correct in saying that you have the "UPS: On Battery" event configured to run a command file ONLY or do you also have that event configured to shutdown the server?
also, what does this command file do? does it shutdown the server or certain services? did you configure anything else at all in PCNS besides the "UPS: On Battery" event? anything under Configure Shutdown for instance?
thanks!
