Overvoltage message - where are logs to show actual voltage
Hi,
I have a Smart-UPS 2200 RM XL in our server cabinet. I have been getting the email alert Overvoltage - "UPS: Conpensating for a high input vopltage" off and on since we installed the system. Before I change the Power High Transfer Voltage from the default 127 VAC to one of the higher options, is there any way to see what the actual voltage causing the message was? It is not shown in the Logs tab of the browser control panel, so maybe there are more detailed logs available?
Also, I am a bit confused about the message and voltage setting. I thought that this UPS take 230 VAC as input, so is this voltage showing in the control panel just for one leg? And if so, how can I tell which leg is giving me the overvoltage so I can have the electrician check out these apparent voltage spikes. Also, is the Power High Transfer Voltage pull down menu actually just for the alarm warning, or does it actually change some internal value in the UPS.

hello,
i believe this UPS is 120v but if you can confirm the exact model off the back of the UPS on the white sticker, we can confirm. the only log information we really have is on the Logs tab, if you're using a network management card or on powerchute business edition, which brings me to my next question. are you using powerchute business edition via a serial or USB cable or using a network management card to look at the UPS?
i'd like to see a copy of the logs either way. if you're using a network management card, you can get the config.ini, data.txt, and event.txt and post them here ([with these instructions|http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9321]). with business edition software, you might need to copy and paste them.
