Network Management Card removal and changing IP address
Hi All
I have to remove a Network Management Card from on UPS to another this friday, its a site that has no documentation so i dont know th IP of the card or the passwords for the Netwrok Shutdown agents. When i remove the card will the IP address be stored, if so how can i reset the card to defaults or change the IP address. Once ive done this im going to re-install the Netwrok Shutdonw Agents on all the servers and reconfigure. The card i an ap9617 i have no manuals either, i have quickly searched the site but time is limited as usual, so would be most greatfull if someone could point me in the correct direction.
if you gain access to the NMC by resetting the password, navigate to System->Tools->Reset to defaults and you can reset all the settings. the first article i mentioned here goes through just editing network settings.
