Hello,
I have problem with connection with UPS threw COM port.
I have HP DL380 G6 server with Windows Server 2008 Standard (SP2) and APC Smart-UPS XL 1400VA RM.
And I have another HP DL 360 G6 server also with Windows Server 2008 Standard (SP2) and a second APC Smart-UPS XL 1400VA RM.
I have no connection (on bout servers) with any UPS. I tried to install APC Power Chute Business Edition version 8.0 and 8.5. I have no connection at software installation and later when I open Web interface there is "Device Communications Not Established"
I tried to google it but with no success.
Is it problem with Win2008 or I need to use some other APC software?
Thanks in advance

juangele thank you for the link. But still it didn't change anything. Tomorrow I will check the debuging part of this tutorial.
The servers are in remote location I have only RDP access, but on Friday I will check those UPS by connecting them to normal PC.
JonPro, I'm not doing this on daily bases but I have installed PCEB on other servers. I did it on HP G5 but there was WinSrv 2003 and there was no problem with connection at all. It know what UPS it is just as I started installing it that is why I'm little bit confused with this two servers.

Hello Ivan,
Is this the first time that you are installing PCBE on these servers? Have you used the UPSes before on a different PC and Operating System? Do you have any software or hardware that might be using the serial port/ interface?
