Hi everyone,
I need some help to determine what UPS should I use to properly hold up the power on the following:
1. HP ML350 G5 with power supply 1000W + 1000W redundant,
2. Serwer 2 IBM x3500 with power supply 825W + 825W redundant.
I would like to have two separately UPS. Currently there is one APS SUA1500I to the option (1) and the same one to the (2). The minimal upholding time is to be 30 minutes.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi,
Thank you for your response. No, I want to have one UPS for one server (means that 2 power suppliers to one UPS).

Also, did you want to have 2 UPSes in each config (4 total) to create a redundant solution for the dual power supplies?

Hi Tomasz,
I would like to ask some question that could help us determine which UPS can handle those type of equipment.
-How much runtime would you prefer to have in case of power failure?
-What is the input voltage that you are utilizing?
-Do you want a Rackmountable unit?
Optional: Please provide the Total Va rating of the equipment

Hi,
Thank you for your response. Please find my next info:
The input voltage is 230V
No rockmountable one
The total Va rating for the 1000W one is 1196Va (unfortunately I cannot find the parameter value for the IBM power supply server).
The runtime should be min. 30 minutes.
Thank you in advance for the next help.

Hi Tomasz,
1. HP ML350 G5 with power supply 1000W/1197VA- you may want to use any of the ff. SUA2200i, ideal runtime max 13min / SUA2200XLI with runtime of 16mins/ SUA2200XLI+(1) SUA48XLBP can provide 1 hr and 16mins of runtime
Note: SUA1500I capacity is 980W/1440VA. The reason why i suggests a UPS should able to cater both Watts and VA drawn by the device
2. Server (2) IBM x3500 with power supply 825W + 825W redundant.
you may want to use SUA3000XLI which can provide max of 6mins or SUA3000XLI+(1) SUA48XLBP which can provide max of 35mins.
Note: Suggestion are based using just 1 input cord of the servers. Runtime can vary depending on the application running on the server that could add up on the actual drawing of the power supply.
You may also want to try to check the specifications of all the units before purchasing them from our website.
