No Data Logging on SMX1500RM2U Running PCBE 9.0 with Smart Signaling

Data Log is enabled with a 10 minute interval, but is empty. Refresh is grayed out and inactive.

Event Log is also enabled and logs events correctly with usable Refresh.

Log access is via PCBE console. PCBE Product Update says software is up-to-date.

Host is running Vista Ultimate SP2 and is connected using USB cable provided with SMX1500RM2U.

I know that data logging is not available with Simple-Signaling, but Signaling Status shows Smart Signaling and connection is USB.

Thanks.

No problems in either the Windows Application or System event logs, but I did some experimentation...

(1) Copied the EventLog file (thereby duplicating ACLs and ruling out a permissions problem), emptied it and renamed it DataLog. After restarting the Agent service, it locked the file (as verified by NirSoft's OpenedFilesView), but wrote nothing to it.

(2) Restored a backup copy of DataLog generated by PCBE 7.0.5 (which was used with the SUA1500 that the SMX1500RM2U replaced). After restarting the Agent service, it truncated the file, removing the old data and leaving only the first line of the file containing the column headings for the various parameters, but again, no data was logged.

From the front panel LCD:
UPS Firmware 1: UPS 03.6
UPS Firmware 2: COM 03.6
UPS Firmware 3: UBL 05.0
UPS Firmware 4: CBL 02.1

PCBE 9.0 Build 613 with Agent 9.0.0.13

I hate to ask this, but after my experience with the S20BLK data logging problem, do you have access to a unit to confirm that an SMX1500RM2U with the given firmware and software actually logs data?

If you access the PCBE console and double click the UPS to view its status, do you get valid data (e.g. input voltage, output voltage)?
Yes, everything is correct except for empty Data Log.
If you access the PCBE agent web interface instead of the PCBE console interface and browse to the data log, do you have valid values?
No, Data Log > View Log simply displays "No Data Logged". Data Log > Configure Log shows data logging is enabled and configured.
Check out the install directory on the machine with the PCBE agent portion. Go into the agent folder and look for two files: EventLog and DataLog. Are they there?
EventLog is present, but there is no DataLog. I also restarted all 3 PCBE components (Agent, Server, Console), and still nothing.
