Hello,
I have a UPS Network Management Card AP9618 and got the email notification working in the Network Management Card. However, the email notification goes out every 4 minutes when the UPS is off and wont stop until I turn the unit back on. Is there a way to set an interval or just have the email notification go out once per event?
Thanks.

yes you might want to look into changing the setting on one as a described above and then doing a mass configuration on the event action configuration section of the config.ini file on the NMC -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8979/
ultimately, i'd suggest going through the web UI on an NMC and changing the configuration there then following the instructions to download the config.ini. all of the email notification settings for which events are emailed are under EventActionConfig - you can delete everything else out of this config.ini except the heading of EventActionConfig and what's under it then cascade this portion of the file to all of your devices. this can also be done via struxureware central if you own that.
hope that helps.

yes, as long as are you at 3.x email, you can configure email events easily.
click on the Administration tab->Notification sub heading and then click on Event Actions either by Event or By Group.
from there, you can choose events by severity, by group or by individual event and change their frequency, delays, etc per recipient.
hope that helps.

glad to hear. just an FYI - when you enable email generation in general, the default setting is to receive ALL events from the NMC every 2 minutes, until the condition clears. APC does this to give you more notifications, rather than too little, in fear of a user missing a critical alert. to change this, a user can customize alerting to their liking, based on the instructions I provided above.

Any way to change this default easily? We have hundreds of UPSes and clicking through the settings on each one is not an appealing idea.
