there are a few ways. if you are accessing the device via the web UI, click on administration tab->General (at the top)->About and it will list the AOS and APP version with bootmon.

if you access it via CLI (loca/telnet/SSH), when you login, on the top right you will see the AOS and APP version numbers. the firmware for AOS and APP should start with 5.x.x

Can I have second question ? I have APC Smart-UPS 1000VA, and on Admin web UI tab UPS, Configuration - firmware update UPS firmware I have version ID17UPS 05.0.
On download page http://www.apc.com/tools/download/index.cfm no firmware available for "main" hardware. Is possible and no firmwares for unit ?

they don't post them on the website yet. you can contact tech support for UPS update files..

first though, can you tell me all of the firmware versions under UPS tab->About? that way i can tell you whether an update is available or not.
