Network Connectivity with AP9617/AP9618

We've been configuring our UPS devices with network management cards.  Four of them were configured and fully working.  We are having connectivity issues with three others.  We have verified the port on the switch is configured correctly (other devices plugged into the same port work fine), the IP address on the the NMC correct, network cable is good/functioning as we tested it with other devices.  All three have a solid green light which would indicate an IP has been configured.  We  have a bunch of new spare network management cards but did not make a difference.  In the menu settings, I see "Link is down."  Could there be a setting I am missing?  Firmware incompatible?

How about the switch ports at the other end? Is there anything different with those ports vs. the ports connected to the units that are working? Can you temporarily swap a working / non-working pair of NMCs to see if the problem follows the card or the cable?

I am asking about the link light (left side of the connector), not the status light (right side).

Which model(s) of NMC? New or used? What does the link LED show? Is it on solid or does it blink? What color? I've seen a number of ones from eBay that have defects in their Ethernet circuitry that makes them behave in the way you describe. The first thing I'd try would be a reset to factory settings (the method varies depending on NMC or NMC2) followed by re-configuring the IP info. Once you get link, you can set the other configuration options.

Is it possible that the cards (or perhaps the switch they are attached to) are configured for a fixed network speed/duplex instead of autonegotiation? Normally that will just drop things down to 10/Half instead of no link, but the latter is certainly possible.

This should not be a firmware issue, as you are able to see that the link is down in the menu. If the AOS was corrupted, it would either not boot or would be complaining. You don't even need an APP loaded for basic IP connectivity.

We are primarily using AP9618 with the environmental monitoring.  These are all brand new purchased from our distributor.  All the cards in the UPS devices are configured with the proper IP.  It shows the solid green light.  I have a few brand new spares of AP9618 and AP9617 which were never configured.  I proceeded to install and configure them but got the same thing.  We do the very basic configuring and then do the rest in the GUI.  We simply set the IP, subnet mask, gateway, and restart or log out.  I can't imagine all the cards would be bad.  The cards are set to auto negotiate.
