Need suggestion on chosing an UPS for Mac Pro 2009

Hi all,

Here is my spec,
Mac Pro 2009,
48GB Ram,
ATI 4870 graphic card (will upgrade to 5870 or fx4800 soon)

Areca 1680ix 16 raid enclosure,
4 internal hardware raid for storage connected to 1680ix
4 ssd for OSX connected to 1680ix
8 bay enclosure hardware raid for editing connected to 1680ix
internal mini-SAS to external mini-SAS adapter.

Highpoint eSATA for Mac
connect a Caldigit VR Mini and an Icy dock 1 bay enclosure

I need to connect the Apple 30" Cinema Display, Mac Pro 09 & the external 8 bay raid enclosures plug into the UPS.
is 1500v smart ups good enough for these hardware to run?

Other question is I have never used an UPS?
Can I use surge protector accompany with the UPS?
it seems like the UPS does not have a good surge protection.
