Has anyone recently bought a Symmetra RM (6kVA)? I am setting up a lab and need to move a Symmetra chassis from oneof my local offices. I will pay for shipping.

Hi Chris,
Did a similar thing recently, sent a Symmetra RM 6kVA Scalable to 6kVA N+1 220-240V to a network interstate.
There was no carton so I had a carpenter build a solid base of seven ply larger than the whole UPS.
We then added two solid full length skids as feet so a fork lift could access it by putting its tynes between them.
On the base we fitted the UPS put a couple of tie down rails in to stop it moving, boxed the sides with heavy ply and fitted a frame around the inside of the top and base to screw to.
Fitted a lid that was flush inside the wall panels and reinforced the fork access side panels with offcuts to prevent a tyne from busting into the carton if the fork lifter was in a hurry at the pickup.
I haven't heard from the buyer but I reckon it was cyclone proof, cost less than $200 AUD including materials.
