Hello,
I have installed a network management card in my APC3000RM
I was able to browse to the card and configure settings, but was having problems setting up the PCNS.
So.... I upgraded the firmware on the NMC to version 5.11.
Now when I login it tells me the UPS is online on the Home tab, but i am now missing the entire UPS tab.
The UPS tab was there before the upgrade..... ๐
I have not yet rebooted the whole UPS just the management card.

Yes, the latest Firmware Version is 5.1.1 only but the part number to download is SFSUMX511 "Network Management Card v5.1.1 Firmware for Smart-UPS with AP9630/3". Please reflash the new firmware on it and check.

I'd try reflashing the firmware first. It could've been a bad flash or something... If that doesn't fix it, then we might have to try reseating the card or messing with the UPS, which would require you to turn off your equipment. Get the less intrusive troubleshooting out of the way first though!
As a side note, the firmware on the card shouldn't affect your success (or lack thereof) with PCNS. What was the issue there?

buzz,
Is the APC3000RM a SmartUPS?
If so, then it sounds like Jim flashed the Symmetra app onto his NMC card. He would be better served upgrading to the [latest SmartUPS NMC app shown here|http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=suA3000RMI2U&tab=Software].

Oops you're right - sorry, I didn't even notice. That'll teach me to multitask...
Yes, jim flashed the wrong firmware to the card - you have a Smart-UPS but put Symmetra firmware on the card, which is why it doesn't recognize the UPS. You want the SFSUMX511 download listed in the link void provided.
