Hey everyone. I have a Symmetra LX 8KVA RM tower unit, and I have already installed the 208V backplates for our servers. We currently have an old APC 5000XL that is dying and we need to move the rest of the load from it to the Symmetra LX. What I am having problems with is trying to figure out what I need on the LX to get 120V out of it. I was told I needed the SYAPD1, which has 2 L5-20 outlet and a L14 plug, along with a PDU that has a L5-20 plug end on it.
What I am confused about is that on the SYAPD1 it says the voltage is 208V. The pdu pn ap7530 states it is 120V for output and input.
So, does the SYAPD1 have a transformer in it for the L5-20 stuff to run? I am confused and want to make sure I get the right parts. We only have 6 120V devices to plug in, but I would like everything in the new UPS..
Any help, much appreciated.

The SYAPD1 has two L5-20 outlets and an L14-30 outlet, and therefore supports 120 and 208. The L5-20 outlets each draw from a single phase of the unit, i.e. one phase of 120v. There is no transformer in the SYAPD1, the 120v L5-20 outlets draw off these phases through the use of connectors (seen when installing the backplate) that feed all the way back to the UPS output bus.
