Auto Server On using APC Smart2200 on IBM X3400 series server
Hello
I am running IBM X3400 Series Server with win2003 Server O.S, The power backup is APC 2200 Uxi conncted to server via serial port. The powerchute software is configured to auto shutdown server & itself in the night & next day morning auto restart .
However it shutdown gracefully & next day morning the UPS also comes online, but the server i have to manually switch On everytime. Is there any workaround where in which the server also gets powered On once the UPS is ON, The BMC on server is not utilized is there any way the UPS can switch ON the server also?

There's usually an option in the server's BIOS to automatically turn back on once power has been cut & restored (i.e. the UPS turning off and back on).
