Meaning of "Load Current"
Hi,
we are running several "IBM UPS 3000XHV" with an APC-Management interface.
In the interface the UPS shows a number named "Load Current", which should show the Ampere the UPS currently uses.
This number seems to be nearly statical on all USVs and is constant for some days on 3 of 5 systems.
Does this number reliable show the current load?
Can I calculate Watt by multiplying Voltage with Ampere?

Stephan,
The Output Current shows the current in amperes drawn by the load of the UPS. If the load connected to the UPS is less than one ampere, this value shows 0 A. This is due to the UPS units ability to measure small loads accurately. With small loads, the rate of accuracy is low. With a larger load, the UPS will provide a more accurate load rating.
I recommend you to upgrade the Network Management Interface firmware if it has got an older firmware version. This is a normal practice if you feel that the card shows erroneous report.
As far as I know, we can only calculate the VA(Volt-Amps) by multiplying Voltage with Ampere.
VA=Voltage(V) X Amps(I)
Watts=VA X Power Factor (P.F)
You can see the percentage of the output Watt(%Wout ) value through the Network Management web interface.
