Are you able to log when a battery is replaced in any or all of these units? We are using SNMP for many events however due to the amount of devices we have we are trying to begin logging battery replacement intervals.
Thanks in advance,
NK

do you mean update the battery replacement date on the Network Management Card installed in the UPS? and you want to do this via SNMP?
we have this OID: .iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.apc.products.hardware.ups.upsBattery.upsBasicBattery.upsBasicBatteryLastReplaceDate or .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.2.1.3 which is described as:
The date when the UPS system's batteries were last replaced in mm/dd/yy (or yyyy) format. For Smart-UPS models, this value is originally set in the factory. When the UPS batteries are replaced, this value should be reset by the administrator.
this is stored by the Smart UPS EEPROM and yes, it can be updated via the network management card via any method, including the SNMP OID above.
