Hi, I have UPS - MGE Galaxy 3500,
which Dry Contact I/O Card can be installed in the UPS?
possible to use a AP9613 (Dry Contact I/O SmartSlot Card)?
Do you need to order an additional AP9600 (SMARTSLOT EXPANSION CHASSIS)?

You'll go with the DB-9 port on the left, closest to where you have the AP9631 installed now.

Hi,
Yes, for dry contacts on the MGE Galaxy 3500 UPS, you can do one of two main options depending on how many inputs/outputs you require.
Option 1: Use included AP9631 Network Management Card with AP9810 Dry Contact I/O accessory. AP9631 can support up to (2) total AP9810 accessories. Each AP9810 gives (2) input contacts and (1) output relay.
Option 2: Use AP9613 card which has (4) inputs and (6) outputs. You can keep the AP9631 Network Management Card installed and use AP9600 and install AP9613 into the AP9600 or if you do not need the AP9631 Network Management Card, put it aside and install AP9613 dry contact card directly into the UPS. You only need the AP9600 expansion chassis if you want to use both AP9631 (pre-installed in the UPS) and AP9613.
Hope that helps.

So you're going to go with AP9613 option?
You'll connect the AP9600 to the left or top serial port. I see mixed information that tells me: "Use the computer interface / smart slot serial, g3500 - left port SUVT - top port G3500" So, SUVT and MGE 3500 are very similar but it sounds like on one, the ports are top/bottom and on the other, left/right. If you have top bottom, go with the top port.
Configuring the relay can be done with dipswitches or if you want to customize, though a USB connection to the AP9613.
Some good resources are: http://www.schneider-electric.us/en/faqs/FA175043 (available events in AP9613) and the user's guide that talks about dipswitches or using custom configurations: http://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/products/Dry-Contact-I-O-SmartSlot-Card/P-AP9613
Hope that helps!
