LX Intelligence Module Firmware match

I recently replaced the RIM on my Symmetra LX and the tech support person suggested I replace the IM because of mismatching Firmware. The IM was made in 2010 and the RIM in 2016.

Is this truly the case?

Hi,

Yes. That is the proper recommendation. There have been many changes to the firmware over the years so it is recommended to replace both the RIM and IM to get them up to date.
