Hi, I searched the forum to find out if any APC rack-based / inrack / high density rack cooling approach has been discussed for densities such as 30kW per rack.
As I know APC's HACS design approach can solve high density cooling requirements for up to 30 kW per rack scenarios and its data center engineering advantages are many and indicated in different docs. But some IT groups to understand their roadmap ask for inrack or rack-based cooling solutions for such densities too as far as the hardware type is concerned. Pls can someone help me with an APC's inrack cooling LOM which can cool 30kW rack density. I have found a couple of APC files about the way it is done in our area, they are attached (rack containment with using APC Inrow ACRC103) but no where I could see its technical details and exact required LOM to correctly exercise it.
I know there is a lot of things to consider for planning a high density zone in a data center but lately we face quite often Rittal's arguments for its rack-based cooling LCP Plus 28 kW (300 x 2000 x 1200 mm 42 U) and so need a similar solution by APC to present and discuss and also a detail description regarding the way it works and etc.

APC RACS and HACS is a very flexible solution that can be installed in any environment to solve nearly any loading situation present in today's data center. There is no need for a raised floor or drop ceiling because the IT heat is neutralized at the point of origin. No raised floor is needed to deliver cooled air because the Air conditioner(RC) is adjacent to the server rack and the heat of the rack is evacuated from the rear of the rack directly into the RC so no heat is mixed with the supply air from the RC. This allows you to do two things. Since the cool air isn't mixing with warm air the RC can have a higher cooling capacity and in turn allow you to run higher loads with less HVAC equipment. This will greatly reduce your operating expenses and in the long run this equipment will pay for itself compared to many current methods of providing high levels of cooling.
You should engage a local APC sales partner to prevent over or under sizing your solution based off your needs.

This is the new pumped regridgerant module which sits directly above the Hot aisle in the HACS system and can support up to 27kw per module.

Product documentation is provided in each link. To fully understand how these systems work you should engage an APC sales group to find how these products could suit your needs.
I doubt you will find anyone who has an actual "IN RACK" system that can support 30kw. The APC devices are row based and line up directly with the servers racks. The RC 600mm is actually in an APC rack and is line up and match with the rest of your APC racks.

But APC has inrack solutions too called Rack Air Containment System (RACS), well according to some docs seen so far. You can see them described briefly in the files attached before.
From the name, RACS, obviously it does approach inrack cooling with rack air containment concept e.g. with inrow SC (i think cools up to 7kW), the part number is APC RACSC112E (1 InRow SC 50Hz 1PH + 1 NetShelter SX Rack 600mm + Front and Rear Containment).
According to APC APPLICATION NOTE #92 "Best Practices for Designing Data Centers with the InfraStruXure InRow RC" which was attached in my question, it does briefly mention rack cooling with APC inrow ACRC103 (cools up to ??) but again with air containment concept. Again in APC APPLICATION NOTE #132, In-Row® RC Cooling of HP C-Class Chassis, again you can notice RACS with inrow RC.
My question is, if RACS is still available and if yes I am interested in solutions above 20kW rack density, is RACS available with APC inrow ACRC103 and if yes what are the details and accessories (LOM).

RACS is a thermal containment system similar to HACS but for single rows of equipment. The ACRC103 can be built into a RACS system with qty 2 ACRC103 for a single 30kw rack or qty 3 for 2 ~30kw racks N+0.

RACS can be configured with many cooling units and racks above just the basic configs shown in the product manuals.
If you want 1 - 30KW rack and RACS w/cooling you would need the following base building blocks. Rack PDU's, piping would need to be configured by your engineer to your specifications.
Qty 1 - ACCS1001 600mm RACS rear enclosure
Qty 2 - ACCS1000 300mm RACS rear enclosure
Qty 1 - ACCS1002 RACS end caps
Qty 1 - AR3100 42u Rack
Qty 2 - ACRC103 InRow RC

Just wondering if APC RACS can be accounted as the equivalent solution by APC to for example Rittal's rack-based cooling? I mean if it is the same concept and can be implemented for example for one single ultra high density row in a data center room? e.g. having say 50 Racks 6-7kW but for only blades allocate 6 racks 20-30kW in one separate row in the same room, seems by implementing APC RACS we can exercise such layouts.
