I noticed that a new update was posted for the NMC2 / Symmetra 1P, so I downloaded it to see what was new (since both the old and the new versions were 6.4.0 and the release notes on the web didn't say anything).
The actual code files (aos, app, bootmon) are unchanged, although there are additional language packs included in the new build. Presumably this is to address the "***Critical: Review kbase FA280684 prior to upgrade***" issue with languages changing after 6.4.0 is installed. The KB article should probably be revised to indicate that the v3 version of the kit addresses the problem.
There is another issue with the kit - an extraneous file named "apc_hw05_aos640_sy640_bootmon108_v3" (no suffix) got included in the kit. It is actually a zip file containing aos619a, sy618b, and bootmon108. You probably want to remove this, if for no other reason that it needlessly doubles the size of the download.

Hi John,
Thanks. Yes, I was informed of that myself when investigating the Symmetra firmware issue. We'll be fixing both file downloads shortly.

Hi Terry,
I'll ask someone to check into it and also update the kbase.

Hi Terry,
At this time, I think we will fix the file and also add a note in the release notes for anyone who got the version you did. Then, we will also update the download hashes/checksum.
Either way, the actual .bin files are not affected and still OK to use. Same with the language packs. But, like you said, the download size has doubled and users may be concerned that this file is needed or causes a problem when in reality it is harmless.
Thanks again for bringing it up and asking.
