I have a IBM UPS1500THV, this seems to be a rebranded APC SMARTUPS, with a APC 9617 Network Management Card.
For the second night in a row we had a power outage.
Are the following lines in the log normal?
21-Jan-13 04:31:09 UPS: Returned from battery backup power.
21-Jan-13 04:11:41 UPS: Switched to battery backup power.
21-Jan-13 04:11:40 UPS: Communication established.
21-Jan-13 04:11:18 System: Network service started. System IP is 192.168.10.125 from current DHCP lease.
21-Jan-13 04:11:18 System: Warmstart.
21-Jan-13 03:59:30 UPS: Switched to battery backup power.
I can understand UPS: Switched to battery backup power when the power went down and Returned from battery backup power when the power came back.
But why was there a system Warmstart and a second Switched to battery backup power?
Can someone please explain and/or help troubleshoot?

I investigated further and saw that the router on my network lost power too, it wasn't behind the UPS.
Thanks for the help. This is my first UPS with NMC.

Well it's hard to say purely based on the event log but a warmstart is when the network management card cannot communicate with the gateway. The network service started event at the same time would confirm that for me. As far as why it showed two "switched to battery back up", I am not sure. My only guess is that once it reestablished communication, it recorded that event to show why it was on battery.
