Hi
I have APC Symmetra PX 100kW Scalable to 100kW, with 5 modules.
the UPS suddently move to bypass and after few hours come back to normal
we suspcet that event when we get the bypass alert it is still available and when there is a power failure it goes to on battery with out the shutting the server down. is it possible?
sometimes the UPS goes to by pass due to "In bypass in response to the UPS front-panel or a user-initiated software
command, typically for maintenance" although nobody touches it and some time due to overload which we dont understand why it happen

Hi Idan,
I had to inquire with our 3 phase support team in EMEA for help with this. If you have further time sensitive questions along the same lines, I'd suggest you contact the local technical support office in your area.
Will it possible to replace the power module rack SYCF40KH with power module rack’s SYCF48KH that I have in stock, use only new power modules with 16KVA capacity (SYPM10K16H) and continue to use the same batteries and battery rack (SYCFXR8)?
The answer is: Unfortunately the older XR frame designed for the Symmetra PX products (specifically 20/40 & 80KVA) is not compatible with the newer generation Symmetra PX (48/160kVA) UPS models. The simple reason is that the batteries in the 48/160kVA units are actually 9 AH batts where as they were 7AH in the older units. Higher capacity batteries means higher currents, larger cabling, larger fuses, etc and the older frame doesn't have these.
The PX48 also comes with four shelves of batteries installed and these are the 9AH type. Mixing of batteries is also not recommended, which is what would happen if we were to use the older battery frame with the UPS.

Hi,
Can you provide the full event.txt, data.txt, and config.ini files for review please? That will also share with me the firmware version on your Management Card in the UPS.
Also, I am curious to know what firmware version is on your UPS. Could you check under the UPS->Intelligence System and tell me what's under there for firmware version?
With that information, hopefully we can better tell what is going on exactly. I'd also verify there is nothing physically connected to the UPS serial port(s).
