Is AP9641 hot swappable in Symmetra LX 16000 Unit

Trying to upgrade an AP9631 NMC to a AP9641 in a Symmetra LX 16000 unit, is it safe to swap them out while the UPS is running?

Yes the device is hot swappable so no problem replacing the AP9631 NMC for the new one.

We have replaced the A9631 with the AP9641, however, in DCE, DCE is unable to register the device as UPS. It keeps popping up as an SnmpV1 device, and we have checked the snmvp settings for the symmetra unit and DCE and everything looks correct. We have updated the firmware to v3.3.0.8. Please advise.

Just some action items to check and validate.

First thing to confirm is the new NMC is using the correct Symmetra (SY) firmware vs Smart-UPS (SUMX).

If you log into NMC the top banner will indicate what version firmware is in place. If the Smart-UPS firmware is installed than the web page will be missing tabs or have greyed out options.

SNMP: Verify SNMP v1 / SNMP v3 have been enabled and defined correctly as outlined in page 57:

NOTE: SNMP v1 is disabled by default.
