I have a Smart-UPS RT6000VA working and I've purchased a SURT192XLBP. For installing it do I have to shutdown the UPS?
The manual do not specify this procedure.
Thanks for any help!

No, you do not. You'll want to plug in the DC connector to the rear of your UPS (just be careful of course you don't bump any circuit breakers or anything while doing so ) and then within the pre-installed UPS Network Management Card, you'll want to specify you added a pack to help it update the battery runtime accordingly (since these model packs are not intelligent in that respect).
Let me know if you have any further questions.
