Hi all,
I am new to the forums, please forgive me if I didn't post in the right area I apologize in advance. I recently inherited a APC SN1000 and it says it could be managed by Powerchute but I have no disc for it. I looked on the site and saw the download for Powerchute however, I am unsure of how to manage it, meaning should I use the serial port in the back of it or somehow rig it into my network with the 2 Ethernet jacks on it that say VOIP only? I don't see any other way of managing it. Anyone help guide me on what to do?
Thanks

Hi,
That Smart-UPS shipped with CD users manual, device driver, and cable 940-0272 which is USB to 9 pin serial. It should also have shipped with cable 940-1524 which is 9 pin serial to 9 pin serial smart signaling. You could also use cable 940-0024 which is 9 pin serial to 9 pin serial smart signaling.
The version of PowerChute that is compatible is PowerChute Business Edition. If the UPS is not auto discovered while installing PowerChute Agent version 9.5 you should select type B.
The RJ45 connectors on the unit are for data line surge protection. They are not for communications with the UPS.
