Hello all
I've got Powerchute from my device page and installed the agent and console edition. During installation of the agent, my UPS got detected and I assumed all is well. After installation I saw that the service was also running under Services. I am however unable to see the status of my UPS and battery. When I double click "PowerChute Business Edition Console" and open the program I get a login screen where I input the username and password provided by me during installation and I get the error message saying " Could not connect to the powerchute business edition server. make sure that the powerchute business edition server software is running, and that its host is connected to the network, then try to connect again."
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

You indicated you only installed the agent and console portion of PowerChute Business Edition (PCBE). There are actually (3) components that should be installed..sort of.
If you are only going to ever have one UPS installed, you can just install the Agent portion. The agent is the piece of the software that monitors the UPS. You can access this via a web browser @ https://127.0.0.1:6547 if you are on that computer OR https://
The server portion is designed to be installed on a computer (where an agent or console can also be installed) to manage multiple agents over the network. Then the console is that GUI that connects to the server portion and gives you a little GUI to see all of your agents.
Thus, when you have multiple agents (or UPSs connected directly to a computer), you can install the server and console portion of the software. if you only have the one, i recommend removing the console and just using the agent webpage.
if you like the console GUI, you can install the server portion if you'd like and use the GUI for one agent. so just go back to the installer and choose the install for the server and install that for where you are at right now.
let me know if you need any clarification on any points here.
