Our Smart-UPS RT 6000 XL is set up to perform a self test every 14 days and send a notification. The problem is that the time it sends these notifications is 6am, which isn't that big of a deal when I have to go to work, but when I am on vacation, I really would prefer the self test occur later in the day.
I have turn off the self test option for 24 hours and then enabled it the next day mid-day, but it still sends on Monday mornings at 6am. How do I change the time it sends the notifications?
Thanks!

Connie, Did you ever find a way to change when the self test runs?

hello connie,
i believe this runs by the internal timer inside the UPS and the UPS would need to be rebooted. you are seeing the "self test passed" notification, correct? you could disable this notification if you'd like (which it doesnt seem to allow you to delay it like the "failed self test" message). if you disable it and the self test fails and you correct the condition, you just would need to note you won't get an email for "self test passed." this works the way it does since "self test passed" is technically the clearing event for "failed self test."
am i making sense? ha. i would say we have to reboot the UPS at a convenient time or we have to fiddle with the notification settings. i am unaware of how to change the self test time without doing any of that unfortunately.

i will research (again) and answer your other thread but i am pretty sure my answer still applies to most UPS models. this is not something we generally have a setting for and you'd need to restart the UPS to have it do its automatic self test again and then it would do it at the interval you specify.
