How can I test these used Symmetra power units to determine their condition?

I got several of each of these units used since my friend is upgrading to a new server unit. How can I test or find out the status of them in order to let interested parties know of their condition?

Thank you for the response. Would they be worth anything at all to sell if somebody wanted it install a new battery themselves or have them refurbished? Does APC possibly give credit for old trade in units to recycle?

Hi Michael -

You would need to have them inserted into a Symmetra chassis in order to run diagnostics. There is no way to field test the power modules without the rest of the UPS.

If you or the battery modules (SYBT5) - They typically last 3-5 years. The first two digits of the serial number would tell you the year of manufacture and the next 2 digits are the week. If they are more than 3 years old I would likely opt to recycle them.
