When I turn on the UPS the fault light and the second battery light on.
Has anyone ever been in this situation?

Hi,
If you find your UPS needs replacing.
Go to APC.com and select your country, then select “How to buy” take a look at the trade up option.

Hi
The lights signify a BackFeed relay weld.
If possible I would braindead the ups ( remove utility power and disconnect the batteries for a minute or so and then reconnect) to see if this clears the fault, and then monitor the ups to see if it returns.

I tried but it didn't work,
the fault light blink and after a time the UPS emits an uninterrupted sound.

Hi Raphael,
This would indicate that there is a hardware fault with the UPS and that it needs to be replaced. If the unit is under warranty I would suggest contacting your local tech support team for further assistance.
