We have two Smart-UPS RT 10000 XL that have no external battery packs connected. However, the "External Batteries:" counter in the UPS > Configuration > General web page always shows a "1" and cannot be set to "0".
Confusingly, according to http://www.apc.com/salestools/ASTE-6Z8LL5/ASTE-6Z8LL5_R2_EN.pdf page 8, the internal battery pack counts as "1".
However, we have Smart-UPS RT 5000 XL UPSs with no external battery packs and yet their "External Batteries:" counter can be set to "0".
So does the Smart-UPS RT 10000 XL need to be configured differently from Smart-UPS RT 5000 XL in this respect?
