Greetings all,
I am a new administrator and my boss (senior administrator) wants me to perform a few tasks on our Symmetra LX 16000 RM.
First, he wants me to have e-mail notification under certain circumstances. He wants to receive an e-mail everytime power goes off and the Symmetra jumps in, when the symmetra batteries are at 50%(30 min of power left) and finnaly one whent he servers shutdown...I'll get to that later.
Also, the tricky part is our SMTP server is connected on the hospital domain. But we have our own DNS server as well....so the primary DNS adress i must guive is the one for the hospital where the SMTP server is right?
This part is not really complicated...here comes the hard part (for me that is).
After a the server are on the batteries in case of a power failure. I want to be able to automatically shutdown my server one by one (my Solaris(Linux) and Windows Server 2003). I have no idea how to do that and I want them to shutdown when there is 10 minutes of power left on the batteries....
I know I am asking a lot but.... I just have to ask 😞
Help???
