Hi guys,
We've 3 server running - mac, windows2003 small server, windows 2003 server.
who ever installed the UPS system they just configure to handle windows 2003 server during power outages. one time there was a power outages and mac user lost lot of work and corrupted files. I've managed to create a batch file and shutdown the mac server
when there is a power outage.(Delay 1 min)
the battery and UPS is 4.2 years old and the model is SUA3000MRI2U. I need someone's advice or suggestion to whether I should replace the battery. we don't have enough budget.
Once we replace the batter I will add another batch file to shutdown small business server.
Please look at the attachment. I don't understand what is delay and duration.
Current run time is 19 mins. So for the command shutdown I used 1min delay and 1 min duration
shuting down attached device - delay 5mins duration 1.30 mins
The risk is Medium - errors are UPS age, Battery age and Application shutdown - see the log risk summary.

I notice in one of your screen shots that the load power consumption was 28 % and the UPS runtime was 19 mins. The UPS runtime appears to be very low according to the SUA3000RMI2U run time chart. Please look at the attached screen shot to view the detailed runtime chart of this unit.
The firmware inside a Smart-UPS is designed to last for years, yet the batteries are consumable items. As the batteries age, they lose their ability to hold a charge and therefore available runtime will decrease over time. I believe that its time to replace the batteries in your unit.

What are your settings under "Power failure" on the PCBE console?
