Its a simple question, When my APC-Smartups looses power, I want it to send a command file and shutdown the apc unit but skip the OS shutdown.
The OS is not running off of the APC it is listening to. I have it configured to send the script to shutdown my servers running off it and I have it set to shutdown the UPS at the end. I just do not want the machine hosting PowerChute Business Edition to shutdown as well.
Please let me know if there is a solution to my problem. Thanks.

Hi Tj,What operating system does your server run? If it is Windows based, maybe you can use the Native UPS Support Service that microsoft has to run that script/run a program when the UPS switches to On Battery operation, but you won't be able to turn the UPS off, it'll run on battery until it turns itself off or the power returns.

Well our software is designed to shutdown the computer it's installed on. Do you have just the agent installed or the server and console as well?
