Hi, i want to use the feature of data log rotation on Symmetra PX 160. I configured an FTP server on Windows Server 2008 machine. Whenever i try to upload the logs from Web interface byclicking the upload now button it gives me error code 206. Kindly help regarding this and i like to get a manual stating how to do it step by step.
Thanks.
Shaf

Hello Angela,
I'm having the same issue with Symmetra PX 160, kindly answer few questions:
1- If I download & provide you the config.ini file of that UPS, what values will you change or replace. Its actually at my client's factory & its a bit difficult to visit daily as they're not in good mood these days.
2- Do I really have to setup a FTP server (or existing) just for data logs rotation ? isn't there any other way ? (its already more than 2 months the issue is pending.)
I just have one visit to perform this activity & enable the log rotation for both of the UPS.
Please help me with this.
Thanks & Regards,

Could you show a screenshot of the settings you've put in or provide a config.ini file showing your configuration? (Instructions on downloading config.ini are here and you can also give event.txt please actually -> http://www.apc.com/support/index?page=content&country=ITB〈=en&locale=en_US&id=FA156131 )

Thanks, the Error code 206 was due to firewall settings, i disabled firewall and that error is gone but now i am getting the message
Unable to contact server: Error COde 261.
Is there any file showing settings for data Log rotation.

The error codes aren't too helpful to me unfortunately.
Yes, if you can extract the config.ini file from your UPS per the instruction link I sent to you previously, that'd be extremely helpful. You could also attempt to telnet/serial in to the management interface and within that menu-driven command line, there is a ping utility - assuming you don't have ping/ICMP blocked on your network, you could see if the management interface can ping the FTP server you're using.
Your FTP server also should allow for appending capability for data log rotation to work properly.
