Hi,

We were wondering if this model of UPS supports an Environmental Monitoring card, and if so, what is the model number for that card?  We are interested in being able to initiate a shut down in response to a high temperature event.

Hello,

AP9619 is our older, discontinued environmental monitoring management card that will get the job done and AP9631 is the current one. They both come with temperature only probes. (AP9618 will also work but also offers out of band management).

One note: If you use PowerChute on your servers/load to manage graceful shutdown, they can shutdown based on a "out of range" temperature event and not min, low, high, or max specifically. First, you'd enable which notifications you'd want on the management card between min, low, high, and max and if any one of those that you enable occurs and is out of range your PowerChute clients would turn off and then can also tell the UPS to turn off when they are done shutting down.

This all assumes your attached load is servers that can support PowerChute. If this is not the case, let me know.
