Is there a preferred way to provide a supply connection to this UPS, such that it can be easily shifted from one supply line to another, within the same room?

if i am understanding you correctly, you basically want to give your UPS two input options and toggle between them? the only options i can personally think of are a service bypass panel for the UPS which allows you to still provide power to your UPS load in case the UPS is unavailable or an automatic transfer switch (ATS) for your UPS equipment. i dont think we have an ATS that can provide redundant power supplies for the UPS itself. generally, a customer uses an ATS for the load attached and feeds the ATS from two UPSs or two other supported inputs.
the UPS itself only supports one input.
