Hi All,
This has got to be the most tricky solution I have worked on in the recent past and I think I have done well, expect the last lingering bit. I have a Esxi 5.5 environment which I want to monitor and shutdown using powerchute when the time comes and I have installed the customary vma machine and its on the same subnet as the UPS.
I have installed the powerchute application and I can get to the web url of the application using http://server_ip:3052, I have opened up the firewall ports as well on my vma machine
Now when I login to my powerchute url and try and configure powerchute, I get an error while registering the NMC card as you can see below..
The odd thing is that when I login to my NMC page under UPS -> Powerchute -> Clients ... I can see the ip of my vma machine listed!! Not sure what that means since I get the above registering error message and in the event logs I see
So I have couple of questions

Hi,

99 percent of the time when this happens it is do to mismatched subnet masks. If it is not the subnet mask please review Kbase FA159624 for more troubleshooting steps.

PowerChute does not shutdown based on percentage but will based on time on battery or runtime remaining. The User's Guide describes both of these settings starting on page 88.
