I need some help. I have a UPS 3000 with a network card. 2 Physical servers are connected to the 3000 with 15 virtual servers. I have PCNS 4.1 installed. I cannot figure out how to configure the software. I want the servers to start powering down when there is about 20 minutes left on the battery backup. And restart when the power comes back on. Can someone point me to documentation and examples or tell me what to put in the configuration shutdown to make this happen. Thank you

Thank you. Just pointing me to the Users Guide will be great. I though I had it, but I all I had was the installation guide. I really need to slow down.
Thanks again

Hi,
Are you using SCVMM or are the host standalone? If standalone then you need to install PCNS on each host.
For VM shutdown and start-up see page 20 of the User's Guide. To have the hosts shutdown when there is 20 minutes of battery life left you should configure a Runtime Remaining Event. See page 65 of the User's Guide. To have the server restart you need to configure the BIOS of the system to restart when AC is restored. See Kbase FA159550
