Good morning - we are getting this alert very often (maybe once every 2 hours on average, daily). It's currently receiving 125.2 VAC and reporting this as high input voltage. I believe that this is within an acceptable range, but I do not see where I can adjust this threshold.

Hi,
Yes due to the hysteresis. The hysteresis is the value specifies how far above or below a threshold must return to clear a threshold violation. I think that if the input voltage had dropped to 124 the alarm would have cleared but since it was a 125.7 it did not.

Hi Chris,
Do you have the model number of your UPS. It should be on the white stick on the back or inside the front bezel. It sounds like we just have to change the sensitivity of the unit but the steps to do that depend on the model number.

Chris,
You can adjust the transfer points from the LCD screen or through the network card. Using the LCD select Configuration and be sure to be Advanced Mode then select High Transfer. Through the network card go to Configuration - Power Settings. The network card help file describes the settings.

Thank you. Currently, my Rated Output Voltage is 120 VAC, my Output Upper Limit is 127 VAC, my Output Lower Limit is 106 VAC, Green Mode is enabled, and my sensitivity is set to Low. Currently, my Input Voltage is 125.1 VAC, below the Output Upper Limit. However, I am still experiencing a warning alarm, "Compensating for a high input voltage".

If you increase the transfer point to 129 - 130 the warning should stop however the system will stop trimming the voltage so the output voltage will increase.

Thanks Bill. So the unit will trim the voltage before it hits the "maximum" threshold value? I just changed it to 130 and the warning stopped.
