Checkbox "Execute Command File After Host Shutdown" not visible

Dear all,

my configuration is:

• 2x SmartUPS
• 6x ESXi Host (3 on each UPS)
• FC Storage
• 1x BareMetal Windows 2008R2 running PowerChute 4.2 (no update available)

I setup VMware Shutdown sequence but I need to shutdown FC storage as well. In the manual it states that there should be a checkbox "Execute Command File After Host Shutdown" in the Shutdown settings, however the checkbox is not visible on either UPS.

What am I missing?

Hi,

Sorry, that feature is only available when PowerChute is configured for Host managed by vCenter Server. It is not available for Standalone VMware host.

thank you for the answer, but I am using vCenter to connect to the 6 ESXi Cluster nodes ...

Hi Bill,

after playing around I discovered that it is NOT as expected to have

1. command file

2. command file after host shutdown

BUT

1. command file with the appearing sub-option to execute it after host shutdown after enabling it

=> Now I can continue integration of Storage shutdown...
