Chatty notification: Environment: A high temperature threshold violation
I've setup my UPSes to notify me via their AP9619 NMC when there is a temperature violation in the network closets. When the closets start to heat up the UPS sends out too many emails to notify me of the problem. The rate is about 5 per minute. Sometimes my inbox is flooded with temperature violations existing and no longer existing with-in the same minute. (It takes a bit longer than a few seconds to cool my rooms down.) Can I lower the frequency at which it's sending out emails?

if your AP9619 has version 3.x of firmware, you can customize the delay and repeat notification settings.
if you have 3.x firmware, you will have tabs along the top going horizontally such as Home, UPS, Logs, Environment, and Administration.
If you have 2.x firmware, where this feature is not available, you will have tabs/navigation down the left hand side going vertically. you can upgrade the card though and get this feature. the firmware is available on apc.com
once you upgrade, you can go to the Administration->Notificiation->By Event or By group and customize the notifications for each group or event and specify if you want each event/group to only send one notification, repeat every X amount of minutes, etc
