Is there a way to perform certificate management for the NMC2 using Linux or Mac? We do not have any Windows systems.
Thanks

I'm going to guess silence means "no"... is there any way to raise this as an issue with APC/ Schneider?

Hi,
If you are asking about a Security Wizard then the answer is no. We do not offer a wizard for Mac or Linux. You can however use one of the many online CA - SSL certificate tools to create a certificate and upload that certificate to the NMC. Information on how to upload the file will be found on page 14 of the NMC security handbook.

So, a few quick questions...
I know of many SSL certificate tools, but don't know of any that work with PKCS#15. Can you post some example links?
Do any of these certificate tools prepend the custom header to the p15 files that APC requires?
Also, doesn't what you suggest require sending both the certificate and associated private key to a host on the internet that is outside our control? Security folk would consider sending the private key to a random server a Bad Idea.
Thanks,
Denny

Any additional guidance you can provide on this? Any way to accomplish secure certificate based connectivity using Linux or Mac?

It seems that there is no current way to accomplish this. I would like to file an enhancement request to either provide the existing APC software on Linux, or (preferably) to allow the NMC2 to import certificates in a more commonly used format (PKCS#12 for instance). How do I file that enhancement request?
