We are using PCBE Basic 7 and have a new server installed with 2 NICs. When we try to discover the UPS the discovery says "cannot resolve host name".
We know the communication is OK because the software saw the UPS during installation. Also, we followed the troubleshooting re: firewall and antivirus software, but these were not the problem. Also, the binding order is correct.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot are appreciated.
Thanks!

When you say it's not resolving the hostname, is this happening when you try to access the software through the console or when you are trying to add an agent to a server? In either case, have you tried adding/accessing using the system's IP? When you add an agent, you can simply click on 'new' and manually type the IP. When accessing the server from the console, you should be able to do the same.
You're right in that it does not sound like a UPS - agent communications issue. Can you verify that all 3 components (agent/server/console) are installed and that the agent and server services are running. They should be listed as APCPBEAgent and APCPBEServer services.
