Cannot connect to PBE server

I have installed PBE (Ver;9.1), Agent, Server and Console on a Windows 2003 server SP2

The Web interface functions correctly and displays stats for the UPS (APC SUA2200RM12U) but the PBE has a persistent error;

'Could not connect to the PBE server'

Both Agent and Server are running in Services and the Firewall is OFF

Bill - London

Yes, the free version of PowerChute Business Edition Server can monitor up to 5 PCBE Agents. All you have to do on your 3 UPS's is to ensure that each of them is connected to a computer and should be running on a supported Operating System.

Would it be possible for you to paste a screenshot of the error and describe in detail how do you end up on this message? What are you trying to do at that time?

Bill,

Have you tried changing the 127.0.0.1 address into the real IP of the device where PBE Server is installed? During the installation process of PCBE, did you encounter any error when you installed the PBE Server? Where you able to find the list of PBE Agent or managed to add one?

Hi, we gave up and installed PBE on a different server (server 2008) and it is now working.

I do have a question, can we monitor more than one UPS from this server/PBE setup (we have three UPS) ?
