I am trying to update my Powerchute software and I cannot because it says I have to uninstall the version I have installed, well, that one doesn't work and there is no shortcut to uninstall and no files in the folders that are an uninstall.exe, how do I get rid of my current install?
Thanks.

Hi Frankd91474, i will PM you the manual removal instructions for PCNS. It is possible thas if the files have been deleted the service could still be running and the registry keys could be there as well.

can I have the PCNS removal instructions for win 2008 r2 as well? it seems the software stopped working and cannot start nor get uninstalled. I don't seem to be able to uninstall it via Control Panel either (ERROR: could not open 'C:\PROGRA~2\Java\jre6\lib\i386\jvm.cfg') nor update to the latest one (nothing happens when I start installer).
thank you.

never mind. I copied over Java\lib and Java\lib files from Windows 7 x64 to problematic Windows 2008 R2 (those folders were missing in Java directory for some reason) and was finally able to uninstall old Powerchute Network Shutdown successfully.
Now re-installing Java and installing the latest PowerChute Network Shutdown 🙂
