We have SMX2200HV with USB cable to a server running PowerChute Business Edition 9.1.1 Build 604, 5nodes. When the mains power goes out Powerchute begins a shutdown sequence, including count-down delay to outlet group load shedding. If the mains power returns before any outlet group's power has shut off, the UPS display continues to say eg "Group 1 shutdown by (UPS? USB?) in xxx seconds". What?!
Since we are on power again there is no way I want any outlet groups power shutting off down the track. It can be cancelled on the front of the UPS Main Menu - Control (enter) UPS Control (enter) Cancel shutdown - but only if someone is around, who knows how. I would much prefer to set the UPS to recognise that when power is back, load shedding should be canceled. Im not seeing the setting. Is this possible?
Thanks, Chris

UPS outlet shutdown is considered a point of no return. Once that happens, PCs attached to that outlet may be shutting down and once off, looking for loss and return of power as the signal to turn back on.
This may be presuming too much about your setup, but some things to consider:
- Outlets without PCs running PowerChute do not need a turn off delay. Setting the turn off delay to zero solves the problem for these outlets.
- Outlets with PCs running PowerChute should have turn off delays sufficient for them to safely shut down. So either they are on or they are in the process of shutting down at the same time as the UPS. It may be easier to do this by not using the "load shedding" settings and instead have PowerChute itself command the UPS to shut down at the same time as it starts the OS shutdown.
