I have a server with two Power Supplies and each Power Supply is plugged into a separate Smart-UPS 1500. I have a USB cable going from each UPS to the Server. I am having troubles with the server seeing both UPS Units. In Windows Device Manager it shows that that the APC UPS USBs are recognized. My question though is can one Powerchute Agent, Server, or Console install work with both of the Separate UPS Units at once?
Right now the Powerchute Agent only seems to see one of the UPS Units.
Thanks.

Hi,
Windows power options in the control panel and PowerChute Business Edition can only communicate with a single Smart-UPS or Back-UPS via USB at a one time. We offer PowerChute Network Shutdown for use with redundant Smart-UPS. See Application Note 98 http://www.apc.com/salestools/BKIR-6R9NX5/BKIR-6R9NX5_R5_EN.pdf and PowerChuteNetowrk Shutdown User's Guide http://www.apc.com/salestools/PMAR-9E5LVY/PMAR-9E5LVY_R4_EN.pdf
Note: each Smart-UPS must have a network management card installed and confiugred for PowerChute Network Shutdown to work properly.
If you OS is Linux based you may be able to use APCUPSD via USB. See the APCUPSD User's Guide for assistance.
